This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a soldier standing in front of a Chinese city gate with a Japanese flag. The poem is about defending the rights of Manchuria and Mongolia, and the words in gold are "Manchuria Dispatch Victorious Return Commemoration" "18th Infantry". The soldier's name Ito is on the back.
