This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a flag with a red cross and a pair of cherry blossoms. The words are "Discharge Commemoration" "Army Medic Department". The soldier's name Yamatani is on the back. The blue of the cup is actually underglaze, while the rest of the colors are overglaze, which is a more complicated procedure to make a cup.

Condition: Excellent - slight fading of the gold in the middle
