This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a helmet, and an insignia of the Imperial Guards. The words are "China Incident Callup Commemoration" "2nd Guards Infantry". The soldier's name Yamanouchi is on the back. The flag is that of the puppet state in North China set up during the invasion in 1937.
