This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a crane on top, a flag, and some cherry blossoms. The words are "18th Infantry" "Northern Manchuria Dispatch". There's a symbol on the back that is probably some family name. Northern Manchuria is an interesting reference, because these guys would've guarded the border with the Soviet Union.
