This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a detailed picture of the Osaka Castle with the words "Osaka Castle" and "Leaving the service commemoration". The Osaka castle was the headquarters for the 4th division, and the keep was rebuilt in 1931 (the earlier one was burned during the Meiji Restoration). This cup probably dates to right after that. The soldier's name Utasato is on the back.
