This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a poem, some cherry blossoms, and a star. The words are "Leaving the service commemoration" "48th Infantry 11th Company" and the soldier's name Nakao. The exterior of the cup is in the shape of a helmet with the word "loyalty" embossed into the base. There are also some cherry blossom petals embossed on the sides.
