This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with an insignia of the railroad unit that has the rifles done really well (as opposed to the usual that is just the shape of the rifle). The words around the cup are "Manchuria Independent Defense Unit 5th Battalion" "Commemoration" and the soldier's name Amishima.
