This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a badge of the Order of Rising Sun, and a kiri. The words are "Tokyo Bay Fortress" and the soldier's name on the back is Sergeant Aoki. Tokyo Bay fortress consisted of three small fortified islands guarding the bay, and batteries around the entrance of the bay. Cups with a soldier's name and rank is uncommon.

Condition: Excellent - a few of the white dots on the kiri is chipped
