This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a rifle and a flag - the flag is quite distinctive as it is probably related to the military academy, but somehow has the normal five point star instead of the double star. The words are "Graduation Commemoration" "Toyohashi Army Education Academy". This was a facility used to train cadet officers, among others. 

Condition: Excellent - light fading of the gold
