Antique Japanese Military Tsingtao / Qingdao Defense Army Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a crane, a kiri, and a star. The words are "68th Infantry" "Qingdao Defense Commemoration" and the soldier's name Shibayama is on the back. The Japanese controlled Qingdao (Tsingtao - like the beer) after the Germans ceded it to them after WW1, and controlled it until the end of WW2.
