This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a star and a wreath. The words on the back are "Respectfully gifted" and the full name Ozawa Gogetsu. This is probably the person who gave the cup - perhaps to someone of a higher rank.

Condition: Excellent - some of the gold has turned a bit dark
