Antique Japanese Military Yura Fortress 28cm Howitzer Army Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese army sake cup, decorated with a nice detailed picture of the 28cm howitzer. The words on the cup are "Fukuyama Heavy Artillery Regiment" "Term Fulfillment Commemoration". The soldier's name Ueda is on the back. The exterior of the cup has an embossed cherry blossom and poem pattern. Fukuyama was the name of one of the artillery emplacements for the Yura Fortress, which was on Awaji island guarding one of the entrances to the Seto Sea.
