This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with the Z-flag, and the word "Z" on the right. The phrase on top is "This one battle" - the beginning of the Z-flag signal used at the Battle of Tsushima by Togo, echoing Nelson's famous "England expects" message right before Trafalgar. This is probably a cup for the commemoration day for the victory at the Battle of Tsushima.
