Antique Japanese Navy Engine Room Sailor Lacquer Sake Cup 2 of 3
This is an antique Japanese navy sake cup, one of three I'm selling that was gifted to the same person. The cup has a cherry blossom branch, a flag, and a propeller blade as decoration, topped with a crane. The words on the cup are "Congratulations to Mr. Mihara, Term Fulfillment" and on the back is the name of the person who gave the cup, a Mr. Inui. The other two cups I'm selling - one has an identical design gifted by someone else, and another with a very similar design, also gifted by someone else. Propeller blades on cups usually means someone who worked with the propulsion machinery on the ship - someone in the engine room or similar.
Condition: Mint. The box has seen better days, with some pencil writing on the back denoting this cup has a propeller design.
Size: 3.5" across
