Antique Japanese Shinto Shrine Good Luck Prayer Going Away Army Sake Cup with Saucer
This is an interesting Japanese antique military sake cup set, decorated with a picture of what looks like might be a Shinto shrine in a matching saucer/cup set. The phrase on the side of the cup and the dish are "Prayer for a Long Martial Career" which is the same phrase you see on those Yosegaki flags. This is quite unusual as the overwhelming majority of cups are for people coming back and it's actually rare to find the phrase "Buun Chokyu" on cups.
