This is an antique Japanese sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, one of which is the flag of the USA. The words are "Return to Country Commemoration" and the person's name Morita. This may or may not be a military cup - there were civilians who went abroad and returned as well. Either way, cups with the Stars and Stripes are pretty uncommon. This one has twelve stars!

Condition: Excellent - very minor fading of the gold
