This is a pair of lacquered Japanese military sake cups, decorated each with a cherry blossom in the center. One of the cups was painted gold inside, while the other silver. The words on the back of the cup are "Taisho 3rd Year (1914) Dispatch Commemoration" and inside the base "Saiki Township Shobukai". The Shobukai was a government sponsored organization that supported the military - the organization's name was literally "Society for Honoring Martiality". The cups come in a wooden box. The lid says "Victory Commemorative Item". The base of the box and under the lid have the name of the shop that made/sold this, which seems to be located in Hiroshima.

Condition: There's one spot each on the rim of the cups that has a little paint chip, and a scratch on the gold cup on the inside.
