Antique Japanese WW1 1916 Special Wargames Imperial Bestowal Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese lacquered sake cup, decorated with the words "Displaying Martiality" in the center. The words on the back are "Taisho 6th Year (1916) Army Special Wargames Bestowed Cup". The cup is given to soldiers who participated in the wargames in the presence of the emperor, and would be given one of these. The cup is made of lacquered wood.
