This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a picture of a number of soldiers marching into a Chinese city gate with a Japanese flag hanging on a bayonet on the last soldier. The words on the cup are "Victorious Return Commemoration" and the soldier's name Yoshida. The exterior of the cup has an embossed cherry blossom and poem pattern.
