This is an antique Japanese military plate, decorated with a nice picture of the capture of the city of Fengtian (Mukden) during the first Sino-Japanese War. The picture is that of Japanese soldiers entering the city while the flags flying on them are still those of the Qing dynasty. 

Condition: Excellent - some fading of the gold rim around the dish and a bit of crazing
