Giant Antique Japanese Military Imperial Guards Palace Army Sake Cup Set
This is a giant set of antique Japanese military sake cups. Actually, calling them bowls is probably more appropriate, since they're so big. The set of cups all have the same decoration for the bottom half - the bridges of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo with a guard standing at the gate. The top of the cups each have a pair of flags, and the three cups have different decorations there - the smallest cup has a kiri, the medium cup has an Order of Rising Sun, and the largest has the insignia of the Imperial Guards. The largest cup also has a label on the exterior that says "Group" "Tenmon".
The cups are the biggest I've ever encountered. The small cup in two of the pictures are for scale - the typical 2" helmet cup for comparison sake.
Condition: Excellent - a few spots around the rim where the gold is a bit faded.
Size: 5", 6", 7.25"
