This is a pair of antique Japanese military sake cups, each decorated with a plane flying overhead. The one with the building says "Shimoshizu Army Flying School" "Assignment Commemoration". The other cup is "2nd Flying Regiment" "Discharge Commemoration". Both cups have the soldier's name Matsui. Shimoshizu was a school that trained fighter pilots as well as scouting pilots and was established in 1924.
