Rare Antique Japanese Military 1932 Shanghai Incident Yokosuka Naval District Navy Lacquer Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a wreath and the words "Shanghai Incident Callup Commemoration". The words on the back are "Showa 7th Year" (1932) and in the middle "Yokosuka Naval District". This is obviously a navy callup cup for someone who was a reservist but asked to serve during the brief fight in 1932 against China in Shanghai as part of Japan's effort to set up a puppet state in Manchuria. This may very well be a cup for someone in the SNLF.
