This is an antique Japanese military tobacco box, decorated on the cover with a European style square-rigged ship that's quite stylized. The box is made of metal - probably silver plated with brass as the base. The words under the lid of the box are "Showa 8th Year Fleet Commemoration" "Kongo". Kongo, of course, is the lead ship of the Kongo class of fast battleships.

Condition: Excellent - some discoloration and wear on the surface of the box

Size: The bottom tray is 5.75" x 4.75". The box itself is 4" x 3" x 1.75"
