Rare Antique Japanese Military 1933 Hayama Imperial Lodge Guard Duty Army Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with an insignia of the Imperial Guards and the words "Hayama Guard Duty Commemoration". The words on the back are "2nd Guards Infantry Regiment" "Showa 8th Year (1933) August". Hayama is where there's a imperial residence that's still in use today for the emperor. Presumably this soldier was part of the group that served as guards at this coastal retreat.
