This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a naval insignia in the center, with the words "Long Voyage Commemoration". The words on the back are "Showa 9th Year (1934) and the ship's name Nire. Nire was the first ship of its name (obviously not the 1944 version), laid down in 1919 and served until WW2 as a tender as it was obsolete by then. The cup is made of pewter - the mark in the center is a mark for the maker. 

Condition: Excellent - a handful of dark spots on the cup
