This is a rare antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with the words in the middle "Displaying martiality" and on the back "Showa 11th year (1936) Navy Special War Games Bestowed Cup". The cup is probably given to officers who participated in the wargames, technically given from the emperor. These cups are fairly common for army war games but much rarer for the naval variety.
