Rare Antique Japanese Military 1938 Unit Callsign Army Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a star and the words "Showa 13th Year November Transfer to Kondo Unit Commemoration". The exterior of the cup has some pine leaves. "Kondo Unit" here refers to some kind of army command - it's usually named after the commander, unless there's a special unit with a unique name. These are done for operational security and usually denotes a unit in active duty - given the date, this unit was probably fighting in China.
