Rare Antique Japanese Military Battle of Chemulpo Bay Navy Dish
This is an antique Japanese military dish, decorated with two ships - in the foreground a Japanese warship, and in the back a sinking Russian one. The words on the top are "Incheon Harbor Coast Russian Warship "Koretsusa" sunk". This refers to the Battle of Chemulpo Bay, which was fought near Incheon and in which the Russian cruiser Varyag was captured while Korietz was sunk - no doubt Koretsusa was this ship. It's quite rare to see depiction of action outside of the Battle of Tsushima or army battles.
