This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with an anchor, some cherry blossoms, and a flag. The words are "Warship Asama" "Long Distance Voyage Commemoration". The sailor's name Suzuki is on the exterior. The cruiser Asama was one of the training ships for naval midshipmen and they routinely went on long distance voyages to train them in navigation and seamanship.
