This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a soldier standing in front of a sun holding up a flag of Manchukuo with a phrase in it that says "The citizens who tenaciously defend Mongolia and Manchuria". The words under the soldier are "20th Infantry Officer Cadet" and on the exterior "Special War Games Participation" and the soldier's full name Yamada Eiji is on the base.
