This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a helmet, some cherry blossoms, a flag, and the words "China Incident Commemoration". The exterior of the cup is an embossed cherry blossom pattern with a fairly rare "love" character base. This is the first word in the two word construction "patriotism" literally "love the country".
