This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a naval insignia in the center on the front. The words on the back are "Military Affairs Meritorious Person" and "Award". This was probably given to someone who made some significant contribution to the navy's war effort. The cup comes with original wooden box with a silk wrapper. The base of the cup has the stamp for the shop, "Respectfully made by Tamaya" and the stamp for "pure silver". The cup weighs about 90g.
