Rare Antique Japanese Military Qingdao (Tsing-tao) Garrison Army Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a flag, a star, and the words "7th Infantry Regiment" "Qingdao Garrison Discharge Commemoration". The soldier's name Tanaka is on the back. Qingdao was under Japanese control after they took it from the Germans during WW1. They held it until 1922 when it was returned to China. So there isn't a very long time when they had a garrison of the city.
