Rare Antique Japanese Military Shell Shaped Artillery 3 Piece Army Sake Bottle
This is a rare antique Japanese military sake bottle, made to look like a shell and comes in three pieces - the tip, the bottle itself, and a base. The words on the bottle are "Glory of the Nation" and on the side "Victorious Return Commemoration" and the soldier's name Goto. It's rare to find these three piece sets intact - the base and the cups are quite easy to break (I almost dropped the tip trying to take pictures). Usually the bottles survive but without the other two pieces. It also comes in a period cardboard box with the words "Rare shape sake bottle" written on it.
Condition: The tip has a small chip (please see picture). Otherwise mint condition. The white spots around the bottom of the bottle are just the glaze not being very even.
Size: 7.75" tall, 3" wide at the base, 2.5" wide with just the bottle
