Rare Antique Japanese Military Three Soldiers Nikudan Shanghai Incident Army Sake Bottle
This is a nice Japanese military sake bottle, decorated with an embossed pattern of three soldiers carrying a large bomb that's lit on the front towards enemy lines, full of barbed wire. One end of the bomb is flaming. There's also a wreath on top with a flag and a pith helmet. This commemorates the incident of the three "human bomb" soldiers who sacrificed themselves in the fighting in Shanghai in 1932 when there was a stalemate - and they broke through the line thanks to these three soldiers. The words on the back are "Short Service commemoration" and the soldier's name Kubo.
Condition: Excellent - some white spots in the glaze, but no damage
