This is an antique Japanese military sake bottle, decorated with a pair of flags and a star, with one of the flags being that of the Manchukuo puppet state. The words are "Discharge Commemoration" and on the back "Infantry Shimoeda Unit" and the soldier's name Miya(faded). Shimoeda was most likely Shimoeda Tatsuo - who ended the war as a Brigadier General. This bottle is likely to be from after 1939, when Shimoeda commanded units (battalions) that were big enough to use this callsign.
