Rare Antique Japanese Military WW2 Helmet Embossed Veterans Badge Army Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with the word "Loyalty" in the center and the phrase "Holy War Commemoration" on top. "Holy War" refers to the "Great East Asian War" where Japan's role was "holy" because they were supposedly freeing the rest of Asia from the colonizers - this phrase started being adopted around 1940-41. The exterior of the cup is in the shape of a helmet with a badge of the Veterans Association as the base, and the soldier's name Arihara.
