Rare Antique Japanese Qingdao Bismarck Barracks Garrison Commemoration Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese army sake cup, decorated with a flag and a cherry blossom. The words on the cup are "Bismarck Barracks" "Qingdao Defense Commemoration". On the exterior are the words "China Shandong Province" "Qingdao Defense Unit 3rd Brigade 4th Battalion Infantry". The soldier's name Maruo is in the center. Bismarck Barracks is a building that's still standing, built during Germany's colonial period and then taken over by the Japanese as they took control of Qingdao. The US 22nd Marines stationed here in 1945. I've never seen a cup for this before.
