This is a beautifully decorated, extremely detailed lacquer army sake cup. The center of the cup has a heavy artillery piece, with a map of what looks like the defensive lines of Port Arthur on the front of the cup. The back of the cup has a map centered around the city of Mukden in the middle, with the unit probably participating in the battle of Mukden as well. The words on the front are "Meiji 37/38th Years War Commemoration" and on the back "Infantry Artillery 2nd Regiment 3rd Company". The cup comes with original wooden box, and the lid of the box has the words "Meiji 37/38th Years War Commemoration Cup". The bottom of the box has a sticker from the shop that sold it.

Condition: Mint. The box has some minor damage.
