Rare Russo Japanese War Victory Japanese Empire Map Lacquer Sake Cup Set
This is a set of Japanese antique military sake cups, each decorated with a map of the Japanese Empire in gold, including an oddly shaped Korean peninsula, the southern part of Sakhalin, and the Japanese islands itself (the artist forgot Taiwan, I think). The words on the smallest cups are "Victorious Return", on the middle cup "Commemoration" and on the biggest cup "Hibuna Village". There's an anchor around where the Battle of Tsushima was, and a star where Mukden, the biggest land battle of the war, took place. The cups are probably for returning soldiers who belong to this village.
Size: 3.5", 4.25" and 5" across
Condition: The biggest and smallest cups are in mint condition. The middle one unfortunately has a chip at around 4 o'clock
