This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a nicely detailed crane in the center. The words are "Russia Conquest Army Victorious Return" "Tsuruoka Welcome Party". Tsuruoka is a place name, and the word tsuru means crane - thus the crane. The words on the back are "Meiji 39th Year April". So this is almost a full year after active hostilities ended when the troops came home.

Condition: One very small chip at the rim at around 12 o'clock, please see pictures.
