This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a map of Northeast China and Northern Korea. The words on it, aside from place names (some of which have X marking probably battles) are "Commemoration". The name for Korea is that of pre-annexation Korea. The words on the back are "8th Infantry Division 32nd Regiment Expedition". The 8th Division was created in 1898 and so this must be for the Russo Japanese war - it fought in the battle of Mukden, for example.
