Russo Japanese War Prize Cruiser Tsugaru Training Mission Navy Sake Cup
This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with an anchor on the front. The back of the cup has the words "Warship Tsugaru Training Cruise Commemoration". This is in reference to the first Tsugaru in the Imperial Japanese Navy, which was actually the Russian protected-cruiser Pallada. It was sunk in Port Arthur during the Russo-Japanese war, raised, and then refitted and joined the IJN as a prize. Cups with named ships are rare.
