This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated beautifully with a very striking design of an anchor and a star, representing the navy and the army. The words on the front are "Commendation" and on the back "Shiga Prefecture" "Shobuyi Kai". This was one of those associations for patriotic support of the military. The cup is made of lacquered wood.

Condition: Excellent - very slight scratch in the middle
