This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags and with the words "Congratulations" "Victorious Return". The back of the cup has the words "Fukui Prefecture Shobukai Onyu Township Branch". This cup comes with original wooden box and the wrapping cloth, lined with some pretty old cotton. The words at the bottom of the box are "Meiji 37/38th Years Russia Conquest Victorious Return Commemoration Cup". Shobukai was a right wing organization that promoted the martial arts but also military values. 

Condition: Excellent - the words on the outside have lost most of the gold lustre, now more silver/gray than gold
