This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags that are well colored (rather than just plain gold lines) and a star in the center. The words in the star are "Russia Conquest Commemoration". The words on the back of the cup are "Gift to Mr. Makino" and the gifter's name Hattori is in the middle.

Condition: Excellent - some discoloration and light surface wear
