This is an antique Japanese military sake bottle, decorated with an anchor, a flag, and some cherry blossoms. There are two phrases on the bottle - Meiji 37/38th Years War and Taisho 3/4 Year war Victorious Return Commemoration. The name Sakai is on the back. I suspect this is a career officer in the navy who fought in both - and the bottle is probably a celebration of his nearest campaign in WW1.
