Unique Antique Japanese Military Fukuoka Infantry Cups and Bottle Set
This is a set of antique Japanese military sake cups and bottle. The images on the cups and bottle are the same - a pair of flags with a kiri, and the words "Leaving the service commemoration" "24th Fukuoka Infantry". The interesting thing here is that the names are different - the name on the bottle is Kuraoka. The name on the cups are Oba. All items have a "registered design" mark at the bottom. I believe this is a case where these items were given to fellow soldiers leaving the service and the names are sometimes the name of the gifter, who belonged to the same unit. So the person who received them got these from two different men, but they probably all belonged to the same unit (often the same company/platoon). The cups come with original cardboard box
Condition: The right side cup has a chip at 9 o'clock. Otherwise mint condition. The box is a bit beat up. The bottle's base has a small chip at one spot.
Size: 5.75" tall x 2" across. The cups are 2" across
