Regular price $0

This is an interesting and unique piece - a shell with the naval insignia carved on it, and a pair of flags extending from the anchor, one is the naval ensign and the other is the famous Zulu flag, which has special significance for Japan as it's the pre-determined signal for Togo's pre-battle message before Tsushima. The words on the back of the shell are "Takamatsu Area Navy Personnel Department Head". The word on the front is "Gift". The shell is mounted on a removable base. The Takamatsu area, in northern Shikoku island, was home to some naval air units such as scouting and seaplanes. It is also Shikoku's most important port facility.

Condition: The shell itself is in near mint condition. The base has some wear and tear.

Size: 10.5" tall x 5" wide at the base
